Cleveland GIS featured in Moderntech 2007 Calendar
Moderntech recently asked Cleveland GIS to submit a sample of our data to be featured in the 2007 Moderntech calendar. We chose to feature our new Traffic Lighting project posted on Google Earth and are shown as the month
of May in there new calendar. Click the picture for a better view.

     
  Traffic Lighting
  The production of a Traffic Lighting project including City and County owned   intersections. Upon completion this project will become the basis of traffic light   inventory and design for the Electrical Engineering Department. Additionally,   Traffic will be added to the On-Line Data of this website.

Storm Storm Water Field Data Collection
The City of Cleveland is currently producing Storm Water GIS mapping. While in the primal stages of this project a GPS Rover is being utilized to collect infrastructure and branch locations. The current focus is on outfalls based on State mandate requirements.
     
  Planimetric Updates
  Planimetrics are being updated at this time. This project will utilize the new ortho   imagery to locate building footprints, street edges, and parking areas. Features   that are no longer in the field will be taken off of the map at this time as well.   These updates are necessary as the planimetric map is the primary base map   for all other projects.

Bentley Bentley GeoWeb Publisher Upgrade
The conversion to Bentley GeoWeb Publisher 2004 has been completed. All feature sets have been updated and new datasets and queries have been added. The new release is being monitored to ensure everything is working properly.
     
  Fiber Mapping
  Electric Engineering will be managing the Cleveland Utilities Fiber Network   utilizing Bentley Fiber software. This software produces a map and table data   which will allow efficient inventory and tracing of fiber facilities. Additionally, the   software works in conjunction with our existing Bentley GeoGraphics and its   projects.

Parks Parks and Recreation
The production of a Parks and Recreation project including County wide recreational facilities has been completed. Information such as recreation name, location, property area, owner, and many other fields have been linked to the map and populated.
